It is big names who work together with Favendo on the Depot research and development project funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy: Airbus Operations GmbH, Liebherr-Aerospace Lindenberg GmbH, SAP SE, Fraunhofer Gesellschaft zur Förderung der angewandten Forschung e.V., Technische Universität Hamburg, Diehl Aviation Gilching GmbH and DAKO GmbH.
Depot is a joint project led by Airbus Operations, which, together with its industrial partners SAP, Liebherr, AOA, DAKO and Favendo and the research partners of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft (FhG) and TUHH, serves in particular the Industry 4.0 funding line. The network is committed to the industrial utilization of research and development (R&D) results in aviation in Germany, as well as to greater profitability, efficiency and environmental compatibility in aviation. The strategic goal is to strengthen competence in the design and manufacture of innovative logistics processes.
The participants in the project are in close contact with other participants in the Factory of the Future, in order to contribute the share of the Supply Chain 4.0 to the project and to research and further develop it within the framework of the aviation research program.
Favendo supports the project with its software and hardware technology in the field of indoor location. In order to achieve a comprehensive mapping of the entire supply chain, defined use cases will be equipped with location-based services. Favendo can use a technology combination to implement a wide range of applications, such as centimetre-precise localisation or acquisition of various sensor data (inclination, light, speed, etc.) and visualise them in its own dashboard or forward the data directly to a defined interface. Parts, deliveries or vehicles can be tracked and localized in real time.
