Favendo does the next cruise!

A deck area of 450,000 square metres, larger than 63 football fields. 65 metres high and 365 metres long, 19 decks, 2217 cabins. She is an impressive beauty with outstanding inner values: the MSC Bellissima, the youngest ship in the Meraviglia class. An now it’s officially named. The naming ceremony took place on 2nd of march in Southampton. The Bellissima, like all Meraviglia ships, is equipped with the latest guest-centred technology. And Favendo is proud to be part of this ship. A self-sufficient infrastructure consisting of 3,500 beacons and beacon controllers and our sophisticated positioning algorithm ensure that nobody feels lost even on a cruise ship of this size.

Favendo’s solutions:

Indoor Navigation: Guests will be able to quickly locate any on-board destination through real-time navigation and visualization.

People Tracking: Children, friends and family’s position is tracked real-time with custom proximity zones and alerts.

Property Tracking: Asset tags can be placed on any piece of guest property and tracked in the same way as Favendo’s people tracking solution.

Guest Relations: Auto-notification to guests to ensure they don’t miss what matters to them – guests can also place orders and receive updates from the crew.

We also would like to congratulate MSC and Kardon on their latest milestone in improving the guest-experience. Yes. MSC’s new virtual assistant Zoe is on everyone’s mind. Zoe with the nice voice and the high level of language comprehension is the newest eye-catcher in the outstanding MSC for Me program. And she really makes some noise! We like that. Because below the noise the echo of Favendo’s technology can be heard well.

Here, for example: “These voice assistants are a new feature of MSC for Me, the company’s digital innovation program that includes the MSC for ME app, interactive wristbands that provide cabin access and wayfinding and a beacon-based system to provide geo-located suggestions.” – by phocuswire.com

or here: “This virtual concierge should be integrated into the smartphone application “MSC For Me” in 2020. In the meantime, this application offers some new features, such as an internal messaging system (free) to communicate between passengers. Another new feature: the installation of 3,500 beacons (sensors) in the liner allows you to download a map of the ship and find your way on board, just like a GPS…. And to “trace” his children, by equipping them with a bracelet!” – by tourhebdo.com

Here as well: “Zoe is an extension of MSC for Me, the company’s digital innovation platform which relies on 3,500 sensors fitted around the ship, smart TVs, touch screen signage and an app.” – by seatrade-cruise.com
