The „Relay Mini“ series proofs once again Favendos engineering skills: With the presentation of the in-house developed Relay Mini series, Favendo demonstrates its capabilities in hardware development. The Bluetooth device is available from now on and can be configured as Gateway/Beacon Tracker or as BLE Beacon. The devices of the Relay Mini series are available as embedded and stand-alone versions. In addition, customers can choose between a version with an integrated power supply and a supply via USB for the stand-alone device.
Small, stable and with a power consumption of less than one watt, the device, which has been specially developed to meet the requirements of tracking and positioning solutions, is extremely energy-efficient and designed to function reliably even with voltage fluctuations. With the Relay Mini, Favendo is launching an extremely versatile device on the market, whose development reflects the company’s many years of experience in the field of tracking and positioning/navigation solutions. Favendo was responsible for the first nationwide beacon installation in Germany in 2016, with 50,000 rolled out beacons. Through on-prem installations on numerous cruise ships, the company has also proven that its technology can operate completely autonomously under the most difficult conditions.
Development, design & prototyping were carried out in-house
The completely newly developed Relay Mini series was brought to market maturity in an engineering tour de force within a few months under the direction of Dr.-Ing. Harald Schuberth. Mr. Schuberth worked for many years as a senior development engineer for leading German companies in the automotive industry and for a leading global supplier of measuring and testing equipment for the energy industry. Among other things, he specializes in the IoT connection of sensors and the development and programming of embedded controllers.
With the tracking and positioning devices from our Relay Mini series, we have developed a Bluetooth device that perfectly meets our own very high standards. All steps from development & design to sample & prototyping were carried out in-house in order to meet the highest quality standards that we and our customers demand from us.
The Relay Mini will be operating in both functions under the toughest conditions imaginable within the next few weeks: In Chilean copper mines.
