Wayfinding and indoor navigation is based on precise indoor positioning with the help of BLE Sensor-Infrastructures. With our software our international customers have therefore realized indoor navigation on cruise ships, in office buildings, in airports, in stadiums and multifunctional arenas as well as in large shopping centers. The route to the desired point is displayed on a map on the user’s mobile phone or tablet or the route is announced by the output device.

We deliver our software as SDK for integration into your existing native or hybrid app or already integrated into a white label app, which can be configured according to your wishes. Of course we provide planning and deployment of the Beacon infrastructure for you.

How accurate is the positioning?
Beacons can guarantee an accuracy of at least three to five meters. In the vast majority of cases, however, a much more precise positioning is achieved. The accuracy depends strongly on the architectural conditions (building material, height and size of the plants, etc.) and the experience of the Beacon planners. We achieve the highest accuracy even in environments made entirely of steel.
Can I create my own routes?
You are completely free in the planning of your routes and the definition of POI (Places of Interest) and the criteria of the route. For example, you can create barrier-free routes or routes that pass certain points.
Can Favendo handle difficult environments?
We have extensive experience in a wide variety of difficult environments. We are the only supplier with a proven ability to equip complete steel cruise ships. Our installations comply with SITA standards.
Where is the data going?
We offer our solutions cloud based or on-premises. This is essential for self-sufficient solutions, e.g. on ships. All data remains on your own servers and is your responsibility. Of course, all data is available to you for analysis and integration into CRM and ERP systems.
Who already uses Favendo solutions?
We work directly or as subcontractors for many international clients. In the area of Facility Management / Smart Buildings, our software is used by established companies such as Phoenix Contact or Volkswagen as well as by newcomers such as Pinestack. Which basic conditions must be fulfilled for indoor navigation?
You need a sensor infrastructure and an app. Favendo takes care of the planning, delivery, installation and maintenance of the sensors. We use licensed BLE radio transmitters. Beacons? Yes, beacons! If required, we also have a state-of-the-art app in the program.
Is an app really necessary?
For most of our services you need an app or special wearables. We offer our software as SDK (Software Development Kit). The SDK can be integrated into your native or hybrid app by your agency. Of course, our developers support and accompany this process. If you don’t have an app, we can provide you with an app based on our white label app.
In which countries are you active?
Our solutions are used on the latest MSC Cruises ships and thus on the seven seas of the world. Nevertheless, in order to guarantee the best possible service, we prefer the European market for all other sectors.
What are the exact costs?
The costs depend on the size and structure of the buildings or rooms to be equipped and your wishes, so that no general statement can be made. Talk to us. Together we will work out your project.
What technology do we use?
For best wayfinding and indoor navigation we specialise in positioning via beacon technology. Depending on the industry and field of application, we use different technologies or a combination of several technologies. Do you need an app?
Yes, you need an app for indoornavigation. If you already have an app, all services can be integrated quickly and easily via SDK and therefore used by your customers immediately after an update. An SDK (Software Development Kit) is a ready-made program code that can be integrated into your existing app. If you don’t have an app yet, we can provide you with a state-of-the-art application for Android and iOS based on our white label app in no time.

Numerous technologies compete for supremacy
While the current satellite navigation systems for outdoor use usually consist of a GPS receiver combined with electronically stored or online available maps, a large number of technologies and systems in different combinations currently compete for supremacy in the field of wayfinding.
Beacons are ideal
Beacons are signal transmitters that send signals at short intervals and use the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) radio standard to transmit these signals. Their range is between 30 and 100 meters and because of that ideal for functioning wayfinding. All our products and solutions therefore comply with the strictest German data protection and security guidelines and the international SITA standard.
Due to the specific disadvantages of competing technologies and systems, however, it can be assumed that Beacon technology will continue to establish itself as the standard for wayfinding, as it is capable of conveying a user experience like an indoor GPS. The end user needs a smart device with the corresponding application and activated Bluetooth within a beacon infrastructure.
