The Audi Used Cars :plus Center in Munich is part of VGRD GmbH (Volkswagen Group Retail Germany) with over 100 dealerships. The Audi center at the Munich/Echingen location offers more than 700 premium used cars on an area of 14,000 square meters.
700 vehicles on 14,000 square meters means not only a large selection of used premium vehicles, but also a lot of time spent finding the individual vehicles. The operators wanted to make it easier for the 120 employees and customers to find individual vehicles.
Favendo developed an integrated tracking and navigation system. To make it easier for employees and customers to find the vehicles they want, the vehicles were equipped with beacons. An additional 200 beacons were installed in the outdoor area. Favendo developed the Audi :plus app for iOS and Android for the infrastructure, which provided the desired functions thanks to the Favendo SDK. In addition, the app featured an augmented reality function. Favendo provided software, hardware and the management backend.
The requirements were met 100 percent: Search times were significantly reduced. Customers can be navigated to the selected vehicle at the Audi Used Cars :plus Center Munich. The function has since been incorporated into the parent company’s Get your Audi app: “In addition, let the innovative interior navigation at the “Used Cars: plus Center Munich (Eching) conveniently guide you directly to the Audi of your dreams.”
